Belvoir lays resin bound driveways in Wilmslow for homes across SK9, from Pownall Park and Fulshaw Park to Dean Row and the roads near Lindow Common. A resin driveway suits the town's mix of modern detached houses and older brick homes, giving a smooth, porous surface that drains straight through. Our resin specialists also cover Styal, Morley Green, Handforth and the lanes out towards Mobberley, where long drives are common.
Wilmslow plots are often generous, so we walk the whole drive with you to plan parking, turning space, gates and lighting. That visit costs nothing, and the fixed quote follows in writing with no obligation. Our own team does the excavation, base and resin work, with no sub-contractors, and the business is fully insured. We are approved by The Resin Mill, Brett and Tobermore.

Customer opinions matter to us. Most of our work comes from recommendations, and here is what customers say.

Resin-bound surfacing gives a smooth, natural stone finish that lets water drain through. Here is what makes it a popular choice.
Rain drains through the surface into the base, so there is less run-off and fewer puddles.
A firm, level finish with no loose stones, comfortable for buggies, wheelchairs and bare feet.
An occasional brush and rinse keeps it looking fresh. No re-sanding or sealing joints.
Natural aggregates and blends from warm bronze to silver grey, with contrasting borders.
Where existing tarmac or concrete is sound, resin can be laid over it after repairs and priming.
Carry the same finish to the front path, steps and patio for a joined-up look.
Patios in WilmslowGolden quartz and warm bronze are favourites on Wilmslow's larger detached homes, while silver grey pairs well with crisp white render. We border drives with granite setts, premium blocks or a slim steel edge, and can carry the resin through to paths, a terrace and wide shallow steps. Where an older tarmac drive is sound and level, we can lay the resin over it.

A resin driveway is only as good as what is underneath it. We check the existing surface, build or repair the base, fix a firm edge restraint and lay the resin bound mix at the right depth for cars, using UV-stable resin from The Resin Mill so the colour stays true.
Stones and resin mixed and trowelled smooth. Porous, no loose stones, suitable for driveways.
Resin spread on the surface with stone scattered on top. Not porous, and some loose stone.
Prefer a different finish? Compare block paving in Wilmslow or tarmac driveways in Wilmslow.
A stable, well-drained surface can often be resin coated after repairs.
Standing water means the base needs work before resin goes down.
Soft spots and sinking need digging out and a new base first.
Block paving is usually lifted and a new base built for resin.

Wilmslow sits on sandy soil, especially around Lindow and The Carrs, which drains well but shifts if a base is too shallow. That suits a permeable resin system, provided the sub-base is deep and properly restrained at the edges. Many older drives here have spread or sunk, so overlaying them is not an option. Larger plots also need ducting for gates and lights before the surface goes down, and Cheshire East Council approves any new access to the road.
We also lay resin driveways in these nearby areas, with the same team and the same guarantees.

Resin bound is weed resistant rather than weed free. Nothing grows up through a properly laid surface, but airborne seeds can settle on top and root in surface dirt. A brush, an occasional rinse and a weed killer once or twice a year keep it clean.
Yes, when the base and depth are right. A resin bound surface laid at the correct thickness for vehicles, on a sound base with a firm edge, copes with daily car use and all weathers. We use UV-stable resin so the colour holds rather than yellowing.
Often, yes. If the existing tarmac or concrete is sound, stable and drains properly, we repair any cracks, prime it and lay the resin over the top. If it is breaking up, sinking or holds water, we dig out and build a new base first. We check this at your free survey.
Resin bound mixes the stones and resin together and trowels them to a smooth, porous finish, so water drains through. Resin bonded (scatter coat) spreads resin on the surface and scatters stone on top, giving a coarser, non-porous finish with some loose stone. For driveways we lay resin bound.
Wilmslow drives vary from neat frontages to long gated approaches, so the price reflects the area, the condition of the base and how deep we need to dig in sandy ground. The aggregate blend, borders, gate drainage and ducting for lights also play a part. We survey free of charge and fix the figure in writing. Call 01625 404543 to arrange a visit.
For most Wilmslow homes it is an excellent choice. The surface is permeable, so a paved frontage stays within permitted development, and the sandy ground underneath helps water disperse. It has no joints for weeds and suits both modern and traditional houses. The thing to get right is the base, which must be deep enough not to move in loose soil. It also stays clean with an occasional rinse.
Usually not. A resin bound driveway is permeable when laid on a permeable base, so it meets the rules for front gardens in England that apply to hard surfaces over 5 square metres. Listed buildings and some conservation streets have extra controls, and we flag these at your survey.
